Skurring1. Introduction
Skurring (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use the Skurring app, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Norwegian law.

3. Information We Collect
Location Data
Skurring uses your location to display weather along your route and provide relevant driving alerts. Location data is processed locally on your device. We request your permission before accessing your location, and you can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
Anonymized Usage Data
We collect anonymized statistics to improve the app. This may include which features are used, app performance, and any errors. This data cannot be linked to you personally.
Radio Preferences and Favorites
Your saved radio stations and preferences are stored locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- ·Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): We request your consent for access to your location.
- ·Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Anonymized usage data is collected to improve the app.
5. Third-Party Services
Skurring uses the following third-party services:
- ·Weather Services: For real-time weather, we use an external weather provider. Requests are made over encrypted connections without sending personally identifiable data.
- ·Radio Browser API: We use Radio Browser to retrieve radio station information. Playback occurs directly from radio stations and is not linked to your identity.
- ·Apple App Store: Skurring is distributed via the App Store. Apple may collect data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Anonymized usage data is deleted after 12 months. Locally stored data on your device can be deleted by removing the app.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

- ·Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- ·Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

8. Information Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All communication between the app and external services is encrypted using TLS.
9. Children
Skurring is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document. For material changes, you will be notified within the app.
